Siesta Key is home to the #1 best beach in the United States. Covered in approximately 6 miles long of powder white sand you don’t have to worry about running out of beach. Every day hundreds of walkers, joggers, bike riders pass by on the water’s edge. Along the beach there are a variety of sea birds such as egret, sandpiper, herons and of course sea gulls. Many days dolphins can be seen feeding and playing just off the beach along with the occasional manatee.
The Gulf of Mexico shallow depths make it a very popular beach as walking hundreds of feet offshore the depth barely reaches six feet. The water’s colors look like your in the Caribbean. Right around the corner is the Village. Take a walk down Beach Rd to Ocean Blvd and experience Seista Key Village. You will find restaurants, bars, coffee houses, ice cream, shopping, or just great people watching. The Village has a very laid back atmosphere. Shorts, t-shirt, and flip flops are the preferred attire.
